"A Call to Prayer: Seeking Revival Through Persistent Intercession"
Share
We have been and are now praying for a mighty move of God in our worship services and in the lives of God's people. Corey Jones said, "Revivals are prompted by prayer rather than by preaching. True revivals have always been the result of earnest and continued prayer." [This is true in the life of the church and the life of individuals. For revival to happen, prayer must happen].
"Only the Holy Spirit can inspire and empower perseverance in prayer. Never quit praying." (Corey Jones)
Luke 18:1 "And he (Jesus) told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart."
Ephesians 6:18 "Praying at all times in the Spirit. With all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints."
"Prayer is not our last resort but our first response. We believe in prayer without ceasing, cultivating a lifestyle or relational surrender that aligns us with the heart, direction, and will of God." (Pastor Rod Walley)
Below are the prayer needs for this week:
Pray for Nexus Point Church as we continue to share the love and grace of God with our community. We are praying and working hard to be salt and light in a dark and hurting world. Our name, Nexus Pointe Church, means that we are a place where people can connect with like-minded people. People who are trying to live their lives in peace and harmony, and people who are hurting, and seeking.
Pray that God will provide the necessary financial means for improvements and ministry in the various areas identified by Pastor Walley during the Coffee and Conversation meetings at Nexus Pointe.
Pray for a mighty revival of prayer and fasting among this ecclesia. Prayer still changes things, and fasting makes a powerful difference in our lives.
Pray for Senior Pastor Rod Walley and Jessica as they shepherd this flock. They are praying and working for the Kingdom of God and this local assembly. Our Pastor and First Lady, Jessica, work tirelessly to create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere on this campus for newcomers and those who have long been a part of this ecclesia.
Pray for the Pastoral Staff and Church Leadership as we strive to support and carry out the vision God has given Pastor Walley for this ecclesia.
Pray for Pastor Marcio and the Brazilian congregation as it continues to grow and thrive, in support of the ministry needs of our Brazilian brothers and sisters.
Pray for our Links Missionaries Ezequiel and Sussy Ramirez, who serve the Nazarene Church in Africa.
Pray for my brother, Richard Kiser's wife, Denise, who has just learned that she has breast cancer.
Pray for Malachi Lindsay and his family. Malachi is still going through numerous medical procedures and facing medical issues daily. Pray for Elise and Bradley as they watch their child face these severe medical problems and try to make the right decisions regarding Malachi's treatments.
Pray for Clint Nichols of the Berkeley County FCA. Clint is still recovering from back surgery. Also, pray for the high school athletes that he ministers to.
Pray for pastor Dave Boyer as he continues to deal with numerous health issues.
Pray for Robin Downey. Robin is continuing to heal from shoulder surgery.
Pray for Kadin Dix, who is recovering from ankle and foot surgery.
Pray for those who have lost loved ones in the past year.
Pray for Danny Moody, Gena Oneal, Solomon Woodall, Joseph Adimula, Julie Morgan, and Katie. These are individuals who have personal prayer requests.
Pray for our many senior citizens who face daily health issues, including Dave and Charlotte Boyer, Gwin Ballard, Joan Webb, Mary Lou Stewart, Carlyon Lawson, Thelma Lawson, Ann Humphries, Judy Everleth, Jeanette and Lynwood Therrell, Rob Brown, Vicky Kiser, Et al.
Thank you for your commitment to pray for these needs daily and fervently. Keep praying and believing (James 5:16).
Serving God's Kingdom and our community. Pastor Steve
